Hi! I’m Nataliya. Welcome to where I explore and talk things out as I see them. Join me or follow along on this cultural quest to learn how the hell to become American. But first some backstory…
As a young girl, my family relocated every 5 years to a new continent and country. This sense of adventure instilled in me at an early age continued as a foreign exchange student and ultimately, led to a permanent move to the USA as an adult. To say I felt confident and well-prepared by all my life experience for this monumental move and what stood before me – was an understatement. But as the newness of everything wore off, and reality set in, I was surprised to be challenged (and sometimes overwhelmed) by the cultural issues I thought I had already figured out if not outgrown.
AND HERE I AM NOW.
A wife, mom, writer, entrepreneur, and advocate for you.

Whether you are considering a big cross-cultural move or are in the middle of it, I want to invite you to create a life you will embrace and enjoy. I don’t claim to have it all figured out, but we can share our insights and lessons learned. Together, we can share, laugh, and get misty-eyed about the highs and lows of adapting to our adopted American culture.
Let’s swap email addresses and keep in touch.
With the deepest respect for your journey,
Nataliya
